2011 Mother's Day Giveaway - WINNER

I had several entries for my first giveaway.  Some were posted on the wall, some were sent via email, and some people shared the link just because I have wonderful people in my life who support me.

I am so blessed to be able to give back to others.  I hope that the mom that won this session will be able to take some time for herself and know how much she is loved by those in her life.

In the midst of the craziness

In the midst of the craziness of our lives, sometimes it is important to do something just because it's fun.  It isn't often that I get to shoot just for fun.  I had an image of a little girl in a pretty white dress spinning round and round, an image of innocence. 

Free from the stress of the real world.

Little Kirsten was just what I needed.

She is beautiful.

She is carefree.

My Mary

There are some people who make a profound impact on your life.  This lady has helped me through so many different times in my life. She has encouraged me when I couldn't find the strength within to believe in myself.  She has loved me when sometimes it felt like I was sitting at rock bottom.  She has believed in me and somehow always knew I would make it through.

Mary is someone in my life that has done so much more for me than I will ever be able to do for her.  She taught me that sometimes you have to take a leap of faith and just know that it will all work out on the other side.

Mary, I love you.  I am so blessed you have been in my life for 10 years. I am a better person because of the faith you have in me and the friend that you are.

I hope you know how truly amazing you are.

Struggling to find focus

I love to take pictures.  I love to work with my clients.  I love to capture a moment in time that will impact someone.

Because of these things...I say yes.  I say yes to everything.  I have spent the last three years accepting any job that I have been blessed with.  I am so thankful for each and every one of my clients. 

I have learned a lot over the last year.  The biggest lesson i have learned is that it is important to enjoy what I love to do.  I want to rush home from a session and be excited to get it off the camera because I am so in love with how the session went.

I want it all.  I want to be the best.  I want to rule the world.  I want to be a supermodel/rockstar/famous photographer/the best wife/ and the best mom. 

.... I can't.  I can't continue to say yes to everything and still be great.

So, some changes are coming.  The types of sessions will be streamlined and not cover every type out there.  Deep conversations have to be had with my partner in MPC and LIFE.  Prayers have to be prayed.  I need to focus on what brings me the most joy and what I feel I can give all I've got to it to make the most impact.

No, this isn't a fun blog post...but how about a fun picture to end it with.  I squishy heart love him!

Taylor and Zack Are Having A Baby!

I am so blessed to be a part of Taylor and Zack's new chapter in their life.  They are going to have a beautiful baby girl in a little more than a month.  Taylor understands how special maternity pictures are because her mom didn't have any.  As a new mother, she can't look back and see how beautiful her mother was when she was pregnant.

I hope that these images make you feel as beautiful as you truly are.  Inside and Out!  This is such an amazing time in your life.  Cherish the next few weeks and before you know it...you will be holding a sweet baby girl in your arms.

I'm so glad that Taylor and Zack chose me to be their photographer for this special moment in their life. They are beautiful people and I absolutely cannot wait to meet their little girl.

Zack - you are going to be an amazing dad!   I told you at the session that you were ready to win husband of the year as you made sure Taylor looked beautiful in each image, helped her get her shoes on, made sure her hair was just right.  I just know you will dote on this new baby girl in your life just as you do Taylor.

Brianna and Andrew are Married!

I am so completely honored to have been a part of this day.  I have been looking forward to this wedding for months.

A random chance brought Brianna and I together and I absolutely love her!  Over the last several months I have watched her plan every detail of this wedding.  Several things changed a long the way, there were some things that didn't go according to plan, yucky weather, and a missing get away car...but when she walked down the aisle...nothing else mattered.

She was walking towards Andrew and no one else could have been in the room.  She was stunning.  He was handsome.  They were starting the next chapter in their story book.
